Senior Facade Engineer , New Zealand

Our Auckland office provides fa�ade consultancy services to a range of local and international iconic projects. Recent and current projects include the ANZ Building Glass Pavillion, the AUT WG Building, Westfield 309 Broadway, the Waikato Hospital Emergency Department and Clinical Services Buildings and the Clyde Quay Wharf Redevelopment in Wellington.
With a strong forward workload, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Fa�ade Engineer to join our growing Auckland team in a full time position. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
- Holds a recognised degree in Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years fa�ade related experience
- An understanding of the fabrication and installation of fa�ade systems
- Expertise in materials such as glass, aluminium and stainless steel
- Awareness of basic weather performance and building physics issues (ventilation, solar control, thermal performance, fire, acoustics etc)
- The ability to review specialist contractors submissions
- The ability to deliver work in a timely and technically competent manner
- The ability to undertake structural analysis of key cladding elements with knowledge of software such as Strand 7
- Superior report and specification writing skills
- The ability to prepare clear and detailed free hand sketches to illustrate design solutions
- Experience within the local industry while not essential would be advantageous
