FHI 360 serves more than 60 countries, all 50 U.S. states and all U.S. territories. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior HRIS Specialist, in Research Triangle Park, NC or Washington, DC.
Position Description:
Performs a variety of day-to-day administrative Human Resources Information System (HRIS) functions ensuring data integrity and the processing and reporting of HR data.  Works independently under general direction.  Handles problems and non-routine situations by determining the approach or action to take and interprets guidelines, procedures, policies and practices.  Works with all levels of HR staff in assessing needs for various business functions.  Performs tests to ensure all processes work according to the pre-determined goals identified.  Assists team members in identifying reports that are needed by the department and users of HR information.
Provides project oversight from design through implementation.  Participates in special projects with staff. Generates and distributes a variety of statistical summaries regarding the various functional HR areas including required federal and state reporting.  Performs audits of the HR and Payroll databases for data quality and integrity to maintain an efficient and organized department.  Works with information that is of a confidential nature.  Identifies new HR needs and the software products to fulfill these needs.  Makes alterations to existing programs to gather and report data as necessary.  Assist management in identifying and analyzing options and recommends business process enhancements.  Assists in developing training plans and training documents utilizing HR computer systems.
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree or its international equivalent in Computer Science, Business, Human Resources or related field.  HRIS Certification preferred.  Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) preferred.  Must have experience with integration and upgrade of Workday HRIS.
