The role & the selection criteria
SMEC is inviting applications for Assistant Resident Engineer position a for road projects in the Middle East (Kuwait, Qatar, the U.A.E and the K.S.A.):
Responsibilities and Duties:
- To provide necessary supervision of the execution of the works.
- The Assistant Resident Engineer is to act as the Resident Engineer's Assistant for all dealings with the Client and the PMC, with the authority to carry out instructions at site by the Engineer on behalf of the Consultant.
- The Assistant Resident Engineer shall be permanently available and on site during working hours.
- The Assistant Resident Engineer will ensure on receipt of the Contractors daily schedule that the works are adequately supervised.
- The Assistant Resident Engineer shall have the authority in the absence of the Resident Engineer in completing the requirements of the Contract.
Qualifications:
Civil engineering graduate with a minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant experience in roads construction and related works.
With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
