The role & the selection criteria
SMEC is inviting applications for Bridge Engineer position a for road projects in the Middle East (Kuwait, Qatar, the U.A.E and the K.S.A.): 
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • The Bridge Engineer's duties will be to assist the Resident Engineer and ARE in supervising the construction of the bridgeworks on site (including all Major and Minor Structures).
  • The Engineer (Bridges) is responsible for overall coordination with the Client and PMC, and is responsible for review and approval of the relevant detailed Shop Drawings and Method Statement Submittals.
Qualifications:
  • Structural engineering graduate with a minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant experience or holding
  • M.SC. Degree in structures with a minimum twelve (12) years experience in supervision of bridges / tunnels construction and related works.
With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
