Department

The Resourcing, Talent & Leadership team is delivering some of the most exciting initiatives for our people across the BBC. Our remit isn’t limited to what you see in our name – it also includes things like employer branding and engagement, career management, mentoring and mediation.

Within this we are expanding the range and scale of our learning and development (L&D) offering, building capability in areas that are crucial to the on-going success of the BBC, such as leadership, talent and career management, and Respect at Work. Also our College of Leadership training programmes continue to go from strength to strength.

Role

In order to accommodate increasing demands and maintain a high quality of service, we now have an opening for an L&D Advisor. The role will play an important part in helping the team respond to the changing development needs of the business, by managing a variety of activities including the smooth running of training programmes, overseeing the use of 360 feedback tools and psychometrics, and assisting in the delivery of strategic projects.

Requirements

With experience of working in an Learning & Development (L&D) or HR role, you will be well-versed in providing support to L&D professionals, supporting the delivery of a portfolio of programmes and responding to divisional requests for bespoke development interventions. You will be familiar with a variety of methods of learning, psychometric tools, and assessments (e.g. 360° feedback), and be able to investigate and drive new ideas and developments. A good communicator with strong interpersonal and influencing skills, you will have experience of building strong working relationships with key stakeholders across a range of levels and of managing external suppliers. Possessing strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously, you will not only be used to working calmly to tight deadlines but will also be a self-starter who can prioritise your own workload whilst maintaining a keen eye for detail.

To apply, please complete the 'Main Details' and 'Equal Opportunities' sections and upload a CV to the 'Additional Information Upload' section. In addition, in the 'Application Questions' section please provide details of your current salary and package and outline your interest in the role.
