BBC Worldwide Limited is the main commercial arm and a wholly owned subsidiary of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). The company exists to exploit the value of the BBC’s assets for the benefit of the licence fee payer and invest in public service programming in return for rights.
We are recruiting a Marketing Executive to acquire subscribers and viewers for the BBC Worldwide portfolio of YouTube channels focusing on sites, blogs off YouTube and other BBCW websites. You’ll implement the branding strategy for the YouTube channels, manage the day to day look and feel of the channel and content as well as work with other divisions and regions that use YouTube as a marketing platform for our products.
Working closely with the Social Media Exec on YouTube you’ll determine the strategy for driving traffic to the YouTube channels, maintain on-going communication with relevant sites globally in order to feed them topical content to promote, run marketing campaigns for the YouTube channels as well as optimising the channel and content design on the platform.
You will be responsible for managing the allocated budget and successfully using YouTube as a marketing platform for products ensuring that we are measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
The role will also be responsible for the marketing activity of the Global iPlayer including ensuring the appropriate marketing messages are used in all communications to Global iPlayer’s existing and prospective subscribers.
You will have demonstrable experience working in the digital marketing space, ideally incorporating the use of YouTube or other new emerging platforms for the best way to drive our audience and promotion.
You will have excellent communication, relationship building skills with strong attention to detail.
