The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (www.giz.de) manages the first Technical Trainers College (TTC), an undergraduate institution granting a Bachelor of Engineering Technology, on behalf of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. With a target capacity of 1200 trainees, TTC is a large institution with more than 120 faculty members from 10+ countries (for additional information: www.ttcollege.edu.sa). Typical students who study at this “Training of Trainers” institution towards a vocational trainer qualification are young people of Saudi Arabian nationality, between the ages of 20 and 28 years.
Your tasks
The technical trainers will be lecturing in the following fields:
• Telecommunication
* Network and System Administration
Teaching positions typically carry a teaching load comparable to German universities of applied sciences, of 18 contact hours/week during the semester. Previous teaching experience is essential. Responsibilities also include guidance of students during their Bachelor Project.

Your profile
Doctorate (PhD) / MA or equivalent in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science with a focus on Telecommunication and / or Network and System Administration; at least 5 years of academic teaching experience; international (teaching) experience and/or formal teacher qualification (e.g. German second state exam or comparable qualification), interest and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment; sufficient English language skills to teach in English; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point).
Assignment period
Starting date will be most probably in August 2013. Contracts can be offered for the duration of one or two years with the option of renewal. Short-term assignments of one semester (5 months) are also possible.
