AmeriCorps Farm-to-School Specialist

REAP is seeking candidates to fill four 50% time AmeriCorps positions with the REAP Farm to School program. This is a one-year appointment with a 900 hour commitment (average 20 hours/wk). The position will begin August 15, 2013 and end August 14, 2014. Final hiring decisions will not be made until grant funding has been secured (estimated by July 25). Members will be under contract with the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture’s AmeriCorps program and will be under the supervision of REAP staff to continue and expand upon existing farm-to-school programming in Madison public schools.

REAP AmeriCorps members will be based out of REAP Food Group’s office in downtown Madison, WI and will report directly to the Farm to School Program Manager. Work hours will fall primarily between 8am-4pm Mon-Fri but may include weekend and occasional evening hours. While it is understood that members will most likely have an additional part-time jobs, it is imperative that members have availability during these hours.
