Contract Manager Network

Role Purpose

– As the single commercial point of contact between internal customers / business partners and Millicom suppliers, you are responsible for the negotiation, application and management of Millicom procurement contracts and other legal documents needed to implement the sourcing strategy of specific procurement categories. Contract management includes negotiating the terms and conditions of contracts and other legal documents, executing them and ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions, as well as documenting and agreeing on any changes or amendments that may arise during its negotiation or execution. You also be giving support to the Global Contract Manager for the standardization of documents and processes, and the creation of effective management of contracts. It can be summarized as the process of systematically and efficiently managing contract creation, execution, and analysis for the purpose of maximizing financial and operational performance and minimizing risk. Your role will lead to enhanced visibility and enhanced control and performance of supplier contracts, providing increased cost savings and improved risk management
Key Responsibilities

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support Procurement in contract negotiation, management and finalization
• Support internal implementation of contract with users at local level
• Manage commercial and contractual disputes, follow-up on claim and liquidated damages
• Monitor Supplier Performance
• Monitor Contract compliance from both parties
• Follow-up on Project Milestone and KPI
• Follow-up on Claim and Liquidated Damages
• Change Management
• Manage and monitor Vouchers, Prices and Discount
• Keep up to date Contractual Document filings
• Contract renegotiation, renewal or termination
• Ensure compliance with the applicable Laws

Position Requirements

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE
• Professional excellence – strong contract law & legal knowledge
o Experienced in complex agreement drafting and negotiations – ideally within your Category
o Demonstrated contract management expertise, ideally within the Category
o Familiar with commercial and technical contracts
• Must have in-depth knowledge of a global strategy within a large corporation
• Strong Project Management skills to drive and deliver the contract deliverables, suppliers commitment on time and within scope
• Detailed understanding of telecom network, Billing Platforms, IT infrastructure, and knowledge of commercial, service and contractual best practice in complex telecommunication technology sourcing
• Good knowledge of telecommunications network systems and their services (strong advantage)
• Experience in working on multiple site deployments
• Proven ability to effectively manage functionally Global and geographically distributed teams and stakeholders
• Proven Vendor relationship management

QUALIFICATION
• A Master or University level degree, usually in Business or IT/IS, Purchasing (CPIS), law, or similar.
• At least 5-10 years in a similar role or Group Procurement managing contracts, application of regulations, etc.
• Certification a plus (i.e., CFCM, CCCM, CPCM), National Contract Management Association (NCMA) membership or International Association for Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM)

• Experience in working on multiple site deployments & able to travel, the role will involve a lot of interaction with markets
• Fluent in English, Spanish and French highly desirable.
