Corporate Responsibility Coordinator

Role Purpose

JOB PURPOSE
Manage and successfully execute locally relevant and impactful CR activities and implementation of the CR strategy. Ensure visibility of CR activities and brand imaging externally. As part of the CR team, you will participate in CR reporting and related data collection, engage with local stakeholders as well as training and development of CR matters.  The CR Coordinator reports to Director of Corporate Responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the accomplishment of CR projects and activities. Ensure that all CR projects are aligned with the CR Strategy.
• Manage Millicom’s local CR activities, together with related financial and impact reporting.
• Ensure appropriate follow up and measurability of local CR activities.
• Communicate the company’s CR strategy to key stakeholders.
• Ensure the external visibility of the brand.
• Create meaningful and strategic business opportunities and partnerships.
• Participate in Millicom’s CR reporting.
• Foster understanding of CR and its impact and opportunities with key local social challenges.
• Facilitate coordination and communication between the CR team.
• Analyse performance and promote improvements.
• Implement Millicom Foundation projects and support development.
• Other relevant functions

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelors level degree in sustainability, communication, marketing, international relations or related discipline
• Knowledge and understanding of CR reporting, management systems, international guidelines for CR and standards or specific experience in one or more UN Global Compact areas.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
• Solid English and local language. At least one local language is a plus.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
• At least 5 years relevant work experience, preferably in a corporate responsibility role in the private sector or within the non-profit sector
• Experience in project, campaign and/or event management.
