Regional Controller
Role Purpose Responsible for the review of regional financial reporting and cost control. Key Responsibilities • Review of financial reporting of operations in Africa or Latin America • Review the profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, KPI’s and other financial information of the operations to ensure that accurate, timely and consistent information is provided • Maintain and develop internal reports which are aligned with the Group’s strategy • Assist in the preparation of financial information for external reporting • Provide IFRS accounting guidance to local teams on complex/significant transactions • Specific task: o Training of finance teams on accounting and financial systems. Preparation of internal and external reports in relation to financial information o Testing of financial systems to align them with the financial reporting requirements o Analyse monthly figures to identify trends, best practices, and working capital management and cost control o Compliance with Operational Excellence initiatives and regulatory requirements Position Requirements QUALIFICATIONS • Chartered Accountant / Masters degree in Finance / Accountancy • Min 7 years of relevant work experience, including 5 in a big four company • Have a thorough command of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Proficiency in written and spoken English (Spanish and/or French would be considered as an asset) CORE COMPETENCIES • Professionalism and customer focus • Passionate person with drive, willingness to make things happen in a fast moving and multi cultural environment • Good communication skills combined with strong organization |
