Health Infrastructure Officer

Middle and South Fly Health Program (MSFHP)
Based in Kiunga, Western Province, PNG with frequent travel
Abt JTA has been awarded the contract to implement the CMCA Health, Middle and South Fly Program in Western Province, Papua New Guinea. The AUD$20 million program, funded by the Ok Tedi Development Foundation, will operate for five years across the Community Mine Continuation Agreement (CMCA) areas in Middle and South Fly, Western Province PNG.
As a result of this success, an opportunity now exists for an experienced Health Infrastructure Officer to work closely with the key stakeholders and the program team to progressively rehabilitate health facilities and staff accommodation in the Middle and South Fly Community Mine Continuation Agreement (CMCA) to align with the National Health Service Standards and the Western Province Strategic Health Plan.
The Health Infrastructure Officer will support the M&E Manager to undertake and complete an audit and review of the health infrastructure against the National Health Service Standards.  The officer will also develop an overall master infrastructure plan for the Program and support the prioritisation of rehabilitation and construction activities.
Suitable candidates will have extensive experience within infrastructure as well as qualifications in a relevant field.  Strong written and oral communication skills as well as high level computing skills in MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Applicants must be PNG Citizens or eligible to work in PNG and be available to commence on Monday 22nd July 2013.
