African Professional, Trade & Integration Specialist

ME&A is recruiting an African Professional for the position of Trade & Integration Specialist, to work in the evaluation of a trade, economic growth and food security project in East Africa. The candidate must possess familiarity with trade, transit and agriculture issues in the East and South African region. Other qualifications include: 

• A Minimum of a Master’s Degree in trade, investments, economics or in a related field;
• Good knowledge in applied economic analysis;
• At least eight years of experience in international trade/foreign direct investment and regional integration particularly in African Regional Economic Communities;
• Familiarity with the East Africa Community (EAC) and/or the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA);
• Experience evaluating donor funded projects.
• Proficiency in English;

The evaluation has an estimated overall timeframe of 8 weeks.
