AHF is searching for a Sr. Paralegal at our Sunset Office. This opportunity is to work on a Full Time, Regular basis. The salary is based on experience, and we offer a competitive benefits package

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Support AHF’s in-house Legal Department in all areas (litigation, general corporate), but with special emphasis on transactions and global matters
Project manage tasks around legal registrations and operations in numerous countries; maintain records of registrations, MOUs, and other contracts and ensuring they are regularly updated, maintain schedule of AHF global subsidiary board meetings and arrange meetings/prepare papers for meeting; liaison with global staff around their legal needs
Under lawyers’ supervision, prepare drafts of contracts and review drafts provided by third parties, analyze for key terms and providing recommendations to AHF’s lawyers and negotiate some contracts
Organize and maintain legal/compliance grids and manage the activities listed such as: dba registrations; licenses; regulatory reporting
Organize and maintain contract, litigation and other legal files
Litigation support includes: Preparing documents for filing with state and federal courts
Drafting correspondence and papers and proofreading
Researching topics as needed and writing memos/analyses regarding research; using Lexis/Westlaw
Assist with HIPAA and other AHF compliance program activities
Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience: 
Bachelor’s Degree required. Paralegal certificate strongly preferred. A minimum of 5 to 7 years of paralegal experience and/or training required, with some transactional experience. Experience in healthcare industry a plus
