Chief Information Officer (CIO) & General Manager of the Information Technology Department (ITE)

You can make a difference at the Inter-American Development Bank. We are searching for an outstanding strategic executive to fill this position at our Washington, D.C. headquarters:

As CIO for the IDB, s/he holds primary responsibility for leading the management and operational support for information, communication networks, and technology services across the Bank; manages the implementation of useful technology to increase information accessibility. Accountable for the Bank’s IT operations, IT service delivery, IT security, and leadership in the effective application of technology to support the mission of the Bank, both at its headquarters and in its field offices. The CIO is a member of the Executive management team and leads a Department of approx. 100 staff plus contractual employees and contractors.

Ideal candidate is a seasoned, innovative IT technical expert with strong leadership skills, management abilities, strategic vision and best practice knowledge. Advanced degree in management, information management,
information science /systems or other relevant field is required. At least 15 yrs. relevant experience, with 10 yrs. at senior leadership level is required. English and Spanish proficiency is essential. Applicants must be a citizen of one of the IDB Member Countries.
