About the role of Global Director- Monitoring and Evaluation
Joining our Senior Management team as Global Director ­­– Monitoring and Evaluation, you will support the overall coordination of programme-level monitoring and evaluation and gender mainstreaming within CABI. Initially, you will use your expertise to take responsibility for all monitoring, evaluation and reporting on Plantwise, a global programme led by CABI to increase food security and improve rural livelihoods by reducing crop loss. From developing the Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks and performance mentoring system to designing and managing assessments and evaluations, you will improve processes to quantify outcomes and impact. As a member of the Plantwise Programme Board, CABI staff will look to you for oversight, mentorship, advice and strategic and technical leadership.
About you
This is a key role for CABI, so you will need to have the commitment and capability to add value to the organisation. You will, ideally, be qualified to PhD level in Agricultural Economics, Economics or an equivalent and you are likely to come to us from an evaluation and monitoring profession, with an impressive track record of applying your quantitative skills and knowledge to agricultural development. You will have used your up-to-the-minute knowledge of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) best practice to build a track record of leading M&E activities across large programmes. People believe in you and you can demonstrate this through a successful track record of influencing partners and leading teams in cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary environments. Your interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, both written and spoken, are first-class. You are a natural ambassador with an impressive commercial acumen and operational grasp, driven to achieving business results.
