About the Job:
D2D is seeking a Research Strategist. S/he will support multiple initiatives to help design, test, and scale its innovations. The position is based in Boston, MA.
D2D is seeking a Research Strategist. S/he will support multiple initiatives to help design, test, and scale its innovations. The position is based in Boston, MA.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Support organization’s work developing approaches to help consumers navigate financial challenges informed by the field of behavioral economics and consumer-centric design. This will include conducting research, including literature reviews, to better understand consumer financial challenges, interviewing academic and industry experts in the field, helping design interventions, and working with partners on research and operational design to pilot test, conduct, and analyze large-scale experimental studies;
- Prize-Linked Savings (PLS):
- Design and test models to expand PLS nationally;
- Evaluate and support the ongoing implementation and expansion of save to win including new research to understand the impact of save to win on consumers and participating credit unions;
- Build awareness of the PLS concept among public officials, policy makers, financial service industry leaders, researchers, and community advocates.
- Support additional projects, both ongoing teams as well as new potential projects.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree required. Graduate degree a plus;
- Work experience of 3 - 5 years;
- Experience participating in the design and execution of research studies, specifically with a focus on design of research and interventions, development of evaluation strategy and tools, and operationalizing the intervention and research study with on-the-ground partners to ensure effective implementation;
- Excellent research skills, comfortable discussing and explaining research and research designs, strong ability to help design and execute a research study with partners including development of operational and evaluation plans;
- Ability to analyze and synthesize data in a logical way, with experience and comfort working with large data sets;
- Strong project management, planning and organization skills. Collaborative, team-oriented working style, and strong ability to work and lead efforts independently;
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable with public speaking, ability to persuade others, and demonstrated ability to work with diverse constituencies;
- Flexible in assignments, willing to address project needs as they arise and able to contribute effectively to more than one project team.
