Senior Programme Officer - Body

Mama Cash proposed to hire a new Senior Programme Officer for Body to strengthen her Programmes Team by hiring an ambitious and experienced feminist activist to manage the grantmaking portfolio titled Body. The portfolio supports women’s, girls’ and trans organisations and initiatives in the areas of reproductive justice, sexual rights, and ending violence.

The new SPO - Body will build our networks in this thematic area, act as a thought leader for the thematic area, shape Mama Cash’s portfolio of grantee-partners on the Body theme, and take leadership in developing our priorities related to the portfolio. The Senior Programme Officer will work both independently and as an integral member of the Programmes Team. The position will also support the Programmes Team to ensure that our grantmaking policies and procedures align with our strategic plan.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in a broad range of issues related to bodily integrity (reproductive justice, sexual rights, ending all forms of violence), have a human rights approach to working with women, girls and trans people, be an excellent communicator, and have knowledge of and fieldwork experience in working with social movements in the global south and east.
