Woodside Petroleum Engineering Scholarship 2014

Curtin University offers Woodside Petroleum Engineering Scholarship in Australia. Applicants must have selected the Curtin University as a first preference through TISC to undertake a Bachelor of Engineering (Petroleum Engineering). Scholarship is offered for up to a maximum of 4 years (based on a full time study load of 100 credit points each semester). The application deadline is 22nd November 2013.

Eligibility: Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be considered for a Woodside Petroleum Engineering Scholarship:
-Have selected Curtin University as a first preference through TISC to undertake a Bachelor of Engineering (Petroleum Engineering)
-Be undertaking the first semester of their first undergraduate degree at Curtin University in semester 1, 2014
-Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or the holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian or permanent resident visa
-Be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place

Scholarship Open for International Students: Australian and New Zealand students can apply for the scholarship.

What does it cover? The Woodside Petroleum Engineering Scholarship for 2014 will provide the following financial support for the normal expected duration of the undergraduate degree for up to a maximum of 4 years (based on a full time study load of 100 credit points each semester):
-The cost of the student contribution fees each semester for recipients in a commonwealth supported place for the normal expected duration of the degree for which the scholarship is offered.
-A cash payment of $2,500 per semester to assist with costs associated with studying
-In addition, Woodside Energy Ltd. will offer recipients the opportunity to gain an insight into a career in petroleum engineering which may include vacation employment with Woodside Energy Ltd (subject to availability and Woodside’s recruitment criteria).
-Scholarships that pay for a student’s fee in a commonwealth supported place are paid in full for Australian citizens only. For New Zealand citizens and permanent residents 90% of the fees are paid and the student will be required to pay the remaining 10%.
-Payments occur post census date each semester. Payments will be made approximately mid-end April and September each year.

Selection Criteria: The scholarships will be awarded on merit basis.

Notification: All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application via email in mid-January.
