GSMA Ltd (GSMA) seeks a highly intelligent and energetic Sales Team Manager to build their growing Event business. Our Sales Function is headquartered in London with teams in Atlanta, Barcelona, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Shanghai. Last year we generated in excess of £80 million revenue with the majority of this coming from Sponsorship & Exhibition sales. Mobile World Congress, in Barcelona, is the world’s largest annual Mobile Technology Event and one of the top 5 Business to Business only Events that exist today http://www.mobileworldcongress.com/index.html. Our business in Asia is evolving with the successful launch of http://www.mobileasiaexpo.com/ which has over 200 exhibitors from around the world, 20,000 visitors and over 80 prominent speakers. GSMA Ltd (GSMA) requires an experienced Exhibition/Conference Regional Sales Manager to develop our revenues from within the Americas and to lead our team of staff in Atlanta. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Sale of Sponsorship , Exhibition Space, Digital Media and Advertising to Americas based SME’s wishing to develop international business channels • Leadership and Management of expanding Sales/Business Development team responsible for Sponsorship, Exhibition and Delegate Sales. • Work in a matrix position within the broader commercial sales function of GSMA Ltd • Relationship management with key players –Microsoft, Facebook, Google, INTEL, Qualcomm over time. • New Business development from the Americas ‘Tech’ Industry and liaison with local offices of global companies • Account management and development/Strategic Business Development • Liaison with marketing, operations, customer service and finance • Sales manager in charge of all sales activities, departments and personnel involved in Sales for the Company within the Americas. • Provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales department, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals. • Analyse sales statistics to determine business growth potential. • Establish performance goals for all sales department employees, and monitor performance on a continual basis. 

Criteria 
• Solid experience of Conference & Exhibition media sales • A strong understanding of the mobile and wider ecosystem • Proven sales success in an Event media sales environment • Ability to work in a matrix team structure • Experience developing a sales team and especially to develop people to their potential • A strong understanding of events and the business process required to deliver them • Commercially minded with initiative; able to demonstrate creativity • Strong networking skill/ability with the attitude to use them as much as it takes • A robust attitude and ability to travel
