GSMA – The Role - • Reporting to GSMA Brazil Director, in Brasilia. Broadly, this person will assist in the engagement with relevant stakeholders, mainly mobile network operators in the Latin American region and undertaking the co-ordination, analysis and reporting required to: o identify areas where member operators require regulatory support; o convey GSMA’s public policy and key messages within the region; and o assess the impact of its public policy activities to ensure that they sufficiently address the requirements of member operators; • Monitoring mobile industry developments & key regulatory decisions in Brazil and within the LatAm region and providing appropriate analysis on the same; • Conduct primary and secondary researches, structure and summarize information to feed and communicate the organization messages; • Prepare information bulletins, speech notes, presentations, reports and other ad hoc briefings as required; • Actively liaise and work with GSMA staff experts and/or program officers to ensure that appropriate assistance and resources are provided to members within the region, as and when required; • Support with the engagement of member operators and stakeholders at the national and regional levels with the aim of ensuring that GSMA key public policy messages are conveyed and playing a positive role in shaping regulatory developments within the region; and • Other ad-hoc activities to support the G&RA team, as required. 

Criteria 
• At least 8 - 10 years of working experience, and some industry knowledge of the mobile industry would be an advantage; • Ability to adapt to different cultures and to work with cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams is important; • Strong public policy, international affairs and/or government relations experience would be an asset; • Smart, collaborative, outcome focused. Strong analytical skills. Able to quickly grasp new concepts and ideas in the public policy sphere, and to contribute actively to developments within the region; • Excellent communicator, able to express complex technical, commercial or regulatory issues in plain language, without losing the important points; • Good writing skills and able to write reports, and contribute to policy papers relevant to the region. Experience in producing deliverables such as briefings, speeches, online, printed collateral, presentations, web content would be an advantage; • Strong project management skills; ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and manage time effectively, sometimes working to tight deadlines; and • A team player, highly motivated to engage with all relevant stakeholders and be able to efficiently work with a wide group of internal GSMA interests and resources, to ensure that the GSMA initiatives for the region are effectively implemented. • Fluency on English both oral and written. Average speaking on Spanish.
