Communication Officer, P-2, NYHQ, USA

UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a Communication Officer, P-2 (temporary appointment) at NYHQ, USA.

Qualification and Competencies:
• Expert knowledge of digital media communication behaviours in both developing and developed regions.
• Proven ability to present and communicate new projects to a varied audience.
• Proven skills in communication, networking, strategic thinking, advocacy, negotiation, and ability to relate to a young audience.
• Proven ability to conceptualize, plan and execute ideas as well as transfer knowledge and skills.
• Proven ability to coordinate online media hubs. 
• Strong writing and communication skills and the aptitude to handle competing messages and priorities with multiple audiences. 
• Knowledge of current trends in youth participation and new media, as well as good understanding of development issues, world affairs and current events.
• Experience in project management.
• Bachelor Degree in social science, international affairs, or communication; Masters preferred.
