IT at UCA is transforming and we’re seeking exceptional and enthusiastic new recruits to join our team.
The University is at the early stages of implementing a major new organisational structure that is academically aligned and service focused, but governed and led by the wider University. The department will comprise 30 highly skilled IT professionals providing Operations, End User Computing, Business and Programme Management, Security and Compliance functions enabling innovation, creativity and business activities of the University.
As part of this new structure, we are recruiting an Application Support Engineer who will play a vital role in ensuring that users migrate to and then use systems in a controlled, structured and efficient manner and will support a range of business applications, liaise with business analysts or user contacts to ensure that requirements are understood and agree solutions.
The post-holder will develop a thorough understanding of the business area and supported applications, analyse business requirements and implement suitable technical solutions using a wide variety of methods, software products and in-house developed solutions. They will provide 3rd line helpdesk support ensuring assigned requests are managed according to procedures, using version control and release management standards and software.
