Head of Programme Performance and Accountability Team

Head of Programme Performance and Accountability Team £52,000 - £55,000 pa
Oxford

Finding lasting solutions to poverty means putting together the strongest development programmes possible. Constantly evaluating our in-country programmes, and improving how we capture and communicate their impact, you’ll play a key role in making life better for people in need right across the world.

The role You’ll lead, manage and develop a high-performing team of global advisors to provide the support, specialist advice and the tools needed to improve the quality of Oxfam’s work across the globe. Your remit is to build a strong results culture which will have a real and lasting impact on future programme design, management and increasing accountability to the people and communities with whom Oxfam work.

You will be leading on Oxfam’s monitoring, evaluation, learning and accountability processes and systems and working with both the Programme Leadership, and Monitoring Evaluation & Learning (MEL) teams to shape organisational priorities in this area, and leading on the IS needs of the International Programme, ensuring they are prioritised and delivered to support the programme.

What we’re looking for This is a high profile challenge, so you’ll need to have plenty of experience in a management role at a senior level. Experience that will have honed your leadership skills and your ability to drive and motivate a dedicated team. Of course, a good understanding of humanitarian, long term development and campaigns and advocacy programming and the systems and processes that support are essential. As is practical experience of designing and rolling-out monitoring, evaluation, learning and accountability processes. But just as important is your ability to communicate, negotiate and influence at all levels – building strong relationships and making change happen.

About Oxfam A simple, inescapable truth underlines everything we do at Oxfam. There’s enough wealth in this world to go around. It’s not unfortunate that people live in poverty. It’s unjustifiable. It’s not just their problem. It’s ours too. And with the right support, we can beat poverty and injustice. Thousands of people already commit their time and talents to our campaigning, humanitarian and long-term development projects. Now we’re looking for yours.
