Legal Adviser on Financial Institutions and Equity Funds -Junior Expert

VGM Partners LLC is looking for an expert for the following EC Framework project in Uganda:

PROJECT NAME: Feasability study for an equity fund initiative for the agriculture sector in Uganda and the sub-region

Global objective: The overall objective of this consultancy is to support the development of Uganda’s agriculture sector through the promotion n of private sector investments. The opportunity to extend this initiative in South Sudan, Rwanda and Burundi will also be explored.

POSITION: Legal Adviser on Financial Institutions and Equity Funds -Junior Expert

· Masters degree in law, preferably with specialization in business and/or finance law;

· At least 3 years and preferably more than 8 years of relevant experience in legal advise of financial institutions in Uganda and legal aspects of equity funds and other financial products for capital investments;

· An in depth knowledge of legal aspects related to investment finance / Equity funds;

· Excellent communication and presentation skills;

· Excellent writing and analytical skills;

· Fluency in English as a working language

Staring period: July 18, 2011

Duration: 14 w/d
