Overview: The BC Specialist will provide technical guidance for developing innovative strategies for increasing awareness and acceptance of healthy behaviors and practices. Under the guidance of the ESP Advisor, s/he will support generate demand for ESP from targeted clinics.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs and implements BC interventions to increase awareness of and demand for ESP services, including strengthening and linking facility and community-based BC activities
  • In collaboration with communications and community mobilization staff, as well as technical specialists, establishes a BC agenda and BCC messages incorporating ESP priorities and aligning to national BCC strategies
  • Provides BC technical assistance to project and partner staff

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Public Health, Social Sciences, or related required, graduate degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in BC, including in in health services programs
  • Expertise and experience in BC, including research, social marketing, communications, community mobilization, advocacy, training, and materials development
  • Experience with USAID or other donor programs
