Overview: The Budget/Finance Manager will be responsible for maintaining the overall project budget and financial systems. S/he will report to the Grants and Contracts Director.

Responsibilities:

•Prepares project budget and forecasts as needed and manages submission to headquarters and donor; leads the preparation of accurate financial reports at agreed upon intervals and as requested; reviews reports for advising senior managers of necessary problem solving
•Maintain budget monitoring tools and create and/or modify budget spreadsheets and projections in accordance with agency policies and donor requirements
•Establishes process for and oversees approvals of travel advances, expense reports, consultant and vendor invoices, accounts payable, expenditures, etc.
•Works with Pathfinder’s headquarters Finance and Administration department to ensure that adequate control procedures are followed by the program in accordance USAID rules and regulations (Federal Acquisitions Regulations and AID Acquisition Regulations)

Key Qualifications:

•Degree in finance, accounting, or related and chartered accountant or equivalent certification
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in budgeting and financial management
•Demonstrated experience with MS Excel and accounting software
•Experience with USAID or other donor programs; health programming experience preferred
