Chief of Party - Jordan

CHF International is seeking a Chief of Party for an anticipated USAID-funded project in Jordan. This program will focus on increasing access to finance among marginalized and impoverished populations and will support workforce and enterprise development in urban areas. The Chief of Party will provide overall management and general technical direction for the entire program. S/he will serve as a representative to the program, liaising with the donor as well as government entities in Jordan, and other partners. This position will be responsible for the program achieving target results, and will identify issues and risks related to program implementation in a timely manner and suggest appropriate program adjustments.

Qualifications •Masters degree or equivalent experience in International Development, economics, business, or related discipline. •Minimum of 5 years experience as Chief of Party or Deputy Chief of Party on large, multi-year USAID-funded programs focusing on economic development, entrepreneurship, or the creation of business-enabling environments. •Prior experience working on programs focusing on M/SME development or poverty alleviation in urban areas. •Prior experience working in the private sector preferred. •In-depth knowledge of USAID programmatic, compliance and reporting requirements. •Innovative program development and management skills. •Superior written and verbal communication skills in English, abilities in Arabic preferred. •Excellent financial management skills. •Previous experience working in Jordan and/or the Middle East strongly preferred.
