Yemen Evaluation Methodology Specialist

International Business & Technical Consultants, Inc. (IBTCI), a U.S.-based international development consulting company, is seeking an Evaluator with experience evaluating community livelihoods and stabilization projects for a Monitoring and Evaluation project in Yemen. IBTCI’s Yemen Monitoring and Evaluation Project provides monitoring and evaluation services and support to USAID/Yemen and its implementing partners, with a central goal of assessing the effects of Mission programming on stability in Yemen.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of experience in evaluation of development programs in transitioning countries, especially of small, short-term interventions designed to strengthen stabilization in such countries.

  • Experience evaluating small grants programs.

  • Extensive participation working on donor-funded projects, preferably for USAID.

  • Must have demonstrated skill and experience utilizing both qualitative and quantitative evaluation methodologies and tolls.

  • Familiarity with a wide range of stability-focused community livelihood activities, including those aimed at increasing employment opportunities, increasing access to services, promoting community participation and empowerment, and strengthening local governance capacity.

  • Previous experience evaluating such projects in challenging environments.

  • Track record of successful small team leadership.

  • Must be literate in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Must be willing to work in Yemen.
