Position: Construction Foreman

Location: Port-au-Prince, Haiti

Duration: 6 Months

Position Summary: Relief International (RI) is currently recruiting a Project Manager for an anticipated USAID-funded program in Haiti for the Construction of Permanent Shelter Houses on the Caracol EKAM site in the Cap Haitien Development Corridor Shelter Program. The program will serve to meet the backlog of shelter that exists as a result of the 2010 earthquake by increasing IDP access to safe, durable and affordable housing within development corridors in Haiti. The Construction Foremen will each be responsible for one sector of skilled work.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: • Supervise workers of one sector of skilled work (e.g. masons, carpenters, rebar framing) • Organize construction activities involving this sector • Train workers in this sector

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment. • At least 5 years experience in the skill that will be supervised, both in executing it and supervising other workers

Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
