Minimum Qualifications:
A Doctorate in Cultural Studies or a related discipline.

Experience:
Applications should provide evidence of ability to design courses and teach effectively at tertiary level as well as a record of research and publication, or evidence of strong potential in these areas. Ability to secure research funding as well as experience in curriculum development would be assets.

While we welcome applications from scholars specializing in different areas of the interdisciplinary field of cultural studies, we are particularly interested in applicants with a strong background in cultural theory. Also, the ability to provide supervision in areas such as drama/performance studies, ethnomusicology or visual arts would be appreciated. Both positions will require sound knowledge of current scholarships in cultural studies, as well as research experience in Caribbean societies and cultures.

Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will be expected to contribute to teaching in the postgraduate program in cultural studies, as well as examination and supervision of MA, MPhil and PhD students. They will be expected to conduct research and to publish in their area of specialization. Candidates will also be called upon to assist in the development, administration and organization of teaching and research.
