Programme manager, Middle East economic justice Salary: £36,263 to £40,553 (including London allowance) Based: London, Waterloo Closing date: 12 noon, Thursday 1 December 2011

You will manage and develop Christian Aid’s Economic Justice Programme in the Middle East (including Egypt, Lebanon, Israel and occupied Palestinian territory), ensuring a cohesive regional approach and maintaining strong links between programme, advocacy and communications. You will develop the partner and project portfolio in the region with responsibility for all aspects of the programme cycle and for budgets and funding, co-ordinating across Christian Aid and with external organisations.

You are educated to degree level with substantial experience of rights based programming. You have a strong understanding of the drivers of poverty and its eradication in the Middle East context with in-depth knowledge of the issues relating to economic justice. You are confident in working in partnership with civil society and church-based/ecumenical organisations. A strategic thinker, you have a strong track record in bringing innovative approaches to programme development in rapidly changing contexts.
