Cullinan Diamond Mine is situated in the town of Cullinan 30km east from Pretoria. The Mine is currently mining at a depth of 747 metres using mechanised trackless block-cave mining.
Job description: Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants who will be required for operation, maintenance and installation of all services according to sound engineering practice and equipment specifications.
Required qualifications and experience:
Qualified Fitter with Trade Certificate at recognised/accredited institution
Hydraulic experience, underground experience and trackless drill rigs experience is essential
Basic Multi-skill qualifications (rigging, cutting, welding)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an underground mining environment.
Other skills/competencies:
Independent, proactive thinking and the ability to do own job planning
High level of multi-skilling
Ability to work overtime, be on standby and available for call-outs should the need arise
Relevant underground driver’s licences
Vienna Assessment level 2/Orange (test to be done on mine).
