PROFESSOR IN CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT

Qualifications:
• Masters and PhD in Civil/Construction Engineering and Management
• Honours degree in Civil Engineering

Experience:
• Considerable related academic and professional experience, including:
• Teaching and research at the tertiary level
• A record of distinguished original work; and a good research record in peer reviewed international journals
• Outstanding success in, and wide recognition of professional activities
• Corporate membership in a reputable professional institution
• Active engagement in industry
• Proven success in grant applications

Areas of Specialisation:
• Construction Project Management and Contract Management
• Facilities Management
• Construction Sustainability
• Construction Economics
• Business Management and Professional Ethics

Responsibilities:
• Provide academic leadership in the Construction Engineering and Management Programme
• Provide mentorship and guidance to more junior members in the Department
• Teach in the Department’s postgraduate and undergraduate programmes
• Coordinate postgraduate programmes
• Supervise student research projects
• Engage in the development and execution of research projects
