The Underground Mining Department is seeking to employ a highly motivated and experienced Senior Safety & Training Advisor. The successful applicant will report to the Underground Superintendent and will play an integral part in the development of Lawler's underground workforce through performance of the following duties:

Duties & Responsibilities:
• The establishment and maintenance of training plans, inductions and operator procedures
• Conduct Mine Inductions, Operator assessment and ongoing training
• Audit and inspection procedures and programs including Risk Management and assessment
• Assist where required with incident and accident investigation
• Ensure all procedures/practices comply with the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Company standards
• Liaison with engineering/planning departments to ensure best practices are developed with mining methods
• Continued development of site safety culture, work practices and systems
• Implementation of change management programs for new processes, modifications or new equipment

Experience & Requirements:
• 3-5 years Underground Mining experience
• Certificate IV Training & Assessing
• Senior First Aid Certificate
• Underground Supervisor's Certificate of Competency desirable
• Mines Rescue training would be an advantage
• A strong commitment to safety and the ability to work in a team environment
• Basic Computer literacy
• Good written and verbal communication skills

This position is fly in/fly out from Perth on a 8 days on 6 days off roster. Excellent on-site accommodation is provided. Recreational facilities include internet café, Foxtel, swimming pool, tennis court and gymnasium.
