Monash South Africa Sessional Tutor: French Studies

The School of Social Science at Monash South Africa is currently seeking to appoint a sessional tutor on a contract basis from end of February to November 2012. The core requirement is excellence in the teaching of the French language and culture. We are seeking an individual meeting the following requirements: A Bachelor/Honours/Masters degree (or higher) in French Studies. Experience in foreign language teaching at secondary/tertiary level. Experience with language learning/teaching technologies. Native or near native fluency in both English and French. Upon joining us, you will be expected to: Offer Language and Cultural Studies classes as per the set curriculum which will be provided. Maintain and utilise web-based teaching resources Design and implement assessment tasks (Language & Culture components) Mark assignments (Language & Culture components) Provide regular consultation services to students Perform other administrative functions as might be required.
