Director Of Finance, Afghanistan

Tetra Tech ARD, (Http://www.ardinc.com) requests expressions of interest from highly qualified Compliance Specialist candidates for a potential USAID funded project in Afghanistan. The goal of the Irrigation and Watershed Management Program (IWMP) is to expand and strengthen Afghan government and community-level capacity to better manage water resources to improve agricultural production and productivity.

Qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a Bachelors’ degree plus 5 years of relevant experience;
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible financial experience managing the accounting and finance component for large donor-funded programs, particularly in transitional, conflict or post-conflict countries;
• Familiar with USAID project accounting requirements;
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible supervisory experience, setting up the accounting and finance function for a large USAID funded project;
• Direct supervision of a diverse team of professional accountants and financial management staff;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to motivate staff to be accountable for program outcomes;
