PSI seeks applicants for the position of Finance Manager, to assume responsibility for financial management of the USAID-funded Regional Family Planning/Reproductive Health project in West Africa. The Finance Manager is responsible for accounting and business management of the project to ensure that finances conform with USAID’s accounting and financial regulations and with the local legal framework. The Finance Manager will be based in Accra, Ghana and will report to the Chief of Party.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Account management: supervision of accounting procedures; accounting assignments and allocations, record entries, reconciliation of balances: validation and compilation of monthly accounts for each country within the project.
· Cash management; bank account management and monitoring; expense tracking; reconciliation of balances; management of authorized signatures; approval of expenditures; and validation of compliance with expenditure procedures under the regulations established by USAID and PSI.
· Budgetary monitoring of the project, analysis of variation between the project budget and incurred expenses.
· Development of project budgets based on USAID requirements and restrictions.
· Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, in accordance with USAID procedures, internal rules of financial management and audits of PSI.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience
· 7+ years experience in all aspects of financial management, preferably within USAID projects.
· Proven financial and business management skills.
· Strong writing and communication skills and ability to clearly present financial reports.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (and particular competence in Excel).
· Fluency in English and French required.
