Government Reform Practice Area Coordinator – Washington, D.C.

Following the company’s global expansion, GRM International seeks to appoint a Washington based Governance Reform Practice Area Coordinator

This critical role will be responsible for providing support in developing opportunities for GRM and support in overseeing and directly assisting in the delivery of GRM services in fields that include:

  • Political economy
  • Drivers of change
  • Institutional strengthening
  • Civil society empowerment through grant making and capacity development
  • Government accountability mechanisms

This is the ideal opportunity to apply your experience in one or more of the following sectors: Rule of law, public financial management, social development, gender, social inclusion, fragile and transitional states, institutional reform, decentralisation, human rights and/or policing.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate:

  • Bachelors degree in a related discipline, preferably Economics, Political Science, Public Policy or International Development
  • Total minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Some International development experience within a reputable consultancy in a project position or donor agency
  • Experience and understanding of demand side governance approaches, especially in empowerment and accountability
  • Experience in political economy analysis and drivers of change approach an advantage
  • Team player who can work under pressure
  • Sound business development and Client Relationship Management skills
  • Willingness to travel and work abroad (approximately 30% of the time) in developing countries
