SECTION 1 — POSITION SUMMARY
Position Objective:
To manage the accounting policies and the budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning process
Key Accountabilities:
- Build a top class finance and control team;
- Manage consolidation of all the management and financial reports and statutory reporting;
- Design and improve accounting policies, processes, procedures, control systems, IT systems, methodologies and working tools;
- Lead all finance aspects of the budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning process, including the preparation of annual reports and the development of a financial forecasting model;
- Control the financial flow of the EFSF and related entities;
- Control accounting services performed by third parties and ensure clear distribution of roles and responsibilities and communication channels;
- Oversee accounting and reporting;
- Supervise and support team in performing its tasks in a structured and reliable manner;
- Monitor service level agreements.
Main interactions with other functions/ external entities
- Frequent interaction with CFO.

- There will be a team of 5 people.
SECTION 2 — REQUIRED KEY SKILL SET AND PREFERRED PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
KEY SKILL SET
- Knowledge and experience in management of controlling and finance team with very strong accounting and financial skills;
- Good knowledge of functioning of financial institution and experience in financial sector institution.

SECTION 3 — FORMAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS
- More than 8 years of experience, University degree from a leading university, preferably with distinctive grades and honours;
- Specialization: Business (Administration), Finance, Accounting or any other relevant;
- At least 8 years professional experience in a planning, budgeting, cost accounting reporting or control function preferably gained with an international organisation, accounting firm or in a (investment) bank; experience in an operational frontline function would be an advantage, of which 2 years in a Management position and 4 years in a leading financial institution;
- Excellent knowledge of modelling and data processing techniques;
- Good knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS) and of management tools such as Activity Based Costing, etc;
- Experience with state-of-the-art frameworks, models and tools for financial and strategic management would be a distinct advantage;
- Good knowledge of software applications/databases and reporting tools used in the specific area;
- Strong knowledge in the domains of lending, finance and economics;
- Fluent (spoken and written) in English and either French or German;
- Any other language skills are considered an asset.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Years of experience required for the position:
8+ years in Finance/ Controlling
4+ years in Financial Institution
Management experience required:
2+ years as Manager
