International Fundraiser

Incumbent’s task is to source funders; strengthen relationships with key stakeholders,
including corporate and private funders, and other funding agencies.

Key Responsibilities
• Sourcing new funding with focus on large international institutional funding
• Creating new links with corporate,
foundations and individual donors
• Donor and funder relation management
• Grant applications
• Reporting on funding

General Requirements/ Experience and Qualifications
• Bachelors and/or Master Degree
in Marketing or Development beneficial
• 6-10 years relevant experience of soliciting major donations
• Own network of prospective funders
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills
• Knowledge/Experience in Strategic

The fundraiser will work ten months per year from the office of KidsRights in Amsterdam
and two months per year (two times one month) from Bronkhorstspruit, South Africa.
St. Joseph’s Care and Support Trust, a non profit, Christian faith based organization
based in South Africa, has an immediate opening for an experienced international
Fundraiser for a two years contract.
It is a progressive Non Governmental Organisation, situated in Bronkhorstspruit, east of
Pretoria offering holistic palliative care with a strong focus on people affected by HIV/AIDS.
Its primary functions are health and social services, supported by capacity building and
training as well as community development programmes for poverty alleviation. The
International Fundraiser will be responsible for raising funds for the organization with a focus
on the Community Based Care programme of St. Joseph’s.
