| Job Description: | A BIG & EXCITING PROJECT FOR 2013 IN NORTHERN MOZAMBIQUE!!!
Responsibilities
- Review the proposed track and formation cross-section design for
the rehabilitated track and comment on it’s appropriateness for the
proposed loading conditions. If the proposed cross-section appears to be
over-designed, identify the more appropriate cross-section and
substantiate.
- Review the Ground Investigation data completed to date and
advise on the current bearing capacity - will the existing track cope
with temporary track construction loading conditions or will these be
limited – if so, advise the maximum axle load that the track is
currently fit for and that construction traffic should be limited to.
- Comment on the appropriateness of the proposed track and
formation cross-section design with respect to the existing ground
conditions.
- Work with the construction manager to identify opportunities for
reducing the effort associated with formation upgrade, either through
the nomination of proprietary products such as geo-grid or through more
innovative techniques.
