Assistant Petrochemistry CEFIC | Brussels


Ceficthe European Chemical Industry Council, is both the forum and voice of the European chemical industry. It aims to maintain and develop a prosperous chemical industry in Europe by promoting the best possible economic, social and environmental conditions to bring benefits to society.
Cefic is located in Auderghem and employs more than 160 people.
To strengthen one of its departments, Cefic is actively looking for a (M/F): Assistant Petrochemistry
Responsibilities
The person is part of a team which provides services and support to a number of Industry Sector Groups, consisting of companies which produce petrochemical products. The responsibilities consist of:
  • Organizing face-to-face and web meetings, as well as conference calls, including travels, social events, invitations
  • Following-up pro-actively the member companies’ activities and projects; handle or initiate replies to members’ requests and queries
  • Preparing dossiers for meetings, minutes and reports
  • Maintaining various databases, extranets and website updates
  • Invoicing members, accounting of specific budgets and financial follow-ups
  • Archiving of documents and minutes according to Cefic internal procedures
  • Ensuring essential office supplies, monitoring mails, letters, phone calls
  • Full administrative support within this department
Background and experience
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Office Management or equivalent
  • Previous working experience within associations
  • Knowledge of European institutions is an important asset
Skills & competencies
  • Very good knowledge of MS-Office tools is a must
  • Excellent level of English, written and spoken. Knowledge of other languages is an asset
  • Being accurate and passion for conscientious work
  • Being proactive, showing initiative and ability for multitasking
  • Flexible person with excellent planning, organizational & communication skills
  • Team-player and ability to work independently is a must
  • Curious, fast learning and ability to think ahead
