Role

12 month fixed term contract / attachment
We are looking for a flexible person, comfortable working across our Broadcast Assistant andReceptionist roles. You will provide comprehensive support for all aspects of content production, research, basic studio operation and work on reception. You will assist with both administrative and output related duties, including the confidence and ability to make appearances on air.
You will contribute to and research programme ideas, compile briefs for Broadcast Journalists, source and manage contributors and operate a range of broadcast equipment, including the radio car. As a receptionist you will greet callers on the telephone and in person and ensure our reception is presentable and visitors and callers are dealt with efficiently and politely.
 
 

Requirements

As well as a flexible approach to your work, you will have excellent people skills and the ability to manage a range of relationships. You will be able to prioritise your work and deal with conflicting demands on your time, whilst remaining calm and positive. You will have excellent administrative skills and knowledge of a broadcast environment and be familiar with the technical equipment used, as well as possessing good IT skills. You’ll have a passion for broadcasting and a good knowledge of BBC Wiltshire output and the audience that makes up our patch.
