BBC Radio Leeds is a big city station with a diverse audience. Spanning West Yorkshire, its TSA incorporates five districts and three cities. The station, which has over 200,000 listeners, thrives on delivering distinctive and local journalism, live reporting and celebrating the achievements of local people.
Role
We are seeking an experienced broadcast journalist to fill an important reporting role within our newsroom. BBC Radio Leeds is a big city station and we need someone who will relish getting out into West Yorkshire and under the skin of its many communities.
Requirements
You must have a track-record delivering exclusive and original stories, you will be confident enough to hold people to account and have the ability to bring new voices to our airwaves. A strong journalistic background is of paramount importance but you will also be required to undertake production and newsdesk duties. Whoever is appointed will reflect and share our commitment to broadcasting original journalism.
