The Organisation
QGC is a leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on supplying cleaner hydrocarbon energy to growing domestic and international markets.

We are establishing Queensland Curtis LNG, a world-first project to turn reserves of natural coal seam gas in the Surat and Bowen basins in Queensland into liquefied natural gas (LNG) – a carbon efficient fuel.

QGC, which is wholly owned by the British energy company BG Group, employs more than 4,300 staff and contractors. 
Position Summary
The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the C&P Manager for Indirects in relation to the IT Category.
Key Accountabilities
Position Specific• Building relationships with key IT managers, acting as strategic advisor, securing buy-in to strategic procurement plans and supporting adherence to corporate governance requirements.
• Develop and maintain best in class procurement strategy.
• Establishing execution plans to deliver the regional requirements of the global category procurement strategy.
• Assuring that the strategic approach to the development of the strategy and category management plan is consistent with corporate and project goals.
• Preparing and managing the contract review process.
• Managing the Strategic Sourcing Process in accordance with the C&P Standard.
• Compiling ITTs (Invitation to Tenders) and Evaluation Plans necessary to implement project execution strategies and Contract Plans.
• Coordinating the bidding, evaluation and award process in accordance with agreed plans and company procedures.
• Post award contracts administration.
• Following a thorough and systematic approach in managing contractual matters between company and contractor and preparing commercial and contractual correspondence during the implementation of the contracts (with appropriate use of company contracts management system ‘ProCon’).
• Ensuring tracking systems are maintained for all contractual correspondence.
• Performing SAP and ProCon maintenance and interrogation.
• Ensuring contracts and related process documentation is stored on ProCon
• Maintaining tracking registers of Contract Values and VOs
• Upholding and ensuring compliance with QGC’s HSSE requirements and business principles, both within the organisation, and with contractors and subcontractors

People Management• The incumbent must adhere to the annual HR cycle and meet deadlines within the appropriate timeframes.
• The incumbent will be required to manage a small (2-5)person team to deliver significant strategic value add, as well as contract assurance and governance compliance.

Experience• Experience of category management and procurement covering market research, strategy development, tendering, negotiation, contract implementation, management, administration and supplier relationship management
• Demonstrable experience in management of IT category.
• Demonstrable experience in contracts and procurement in large or complex organisation.
• Experience in international contracting
• Experience in developing and executing contract strategies and plans.
• Experience in negotiating contracts
• Strong market knowledge of IT solutions providers both in Australia and Globally
• Experience of formulating and administering different contract types.
