Nkomazi Mills require a specialised procurement support service to ensure sustainability and optimisation of operations.

The successful candidate will be based at the Head Office in Malelane (Mpumalanga) and will report to the Manager: Procurement. He/she will be expected to enforce commercial policies and procedures, optimise buying and store functions, source for capital projects, plan and execute tender processes and negotiate terms and conditions for contractual agreements.

In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for managing and developing subordinates to ensure a highly motivated and competent team to provide a superior customer service through the total supply chain.

Candidates must be in possession of a tertiary qualification (degree or National Diploma) in Procurement or Supply Chain Management with a minimum of 5 years’ Management level experience in the technical manufacturing/supply chain environment. This will include knowledge of the acquisition of technical goods and services as well as strategic raw materials.

Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) is a must, whilst exposure to the SAP system will be an added advantage. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with sound people management skills. The ideal candidate is assertive, has the ability to work under pressure, take initiative and has a high standard of ethical behaviour.
