Consultant - Automotive Supply Chain Initiative Moscow


Job Description

  • Maintain operational relations with the Automotive initiative’ clients, which can include OEMs and their supply chain (component producers) under supervision of the Task Leader, Program Manager and in coordination with IFC Investment department;
  • Provide expert support, manage consultant teams and oversee the development, refinement, and implementation of Automotive initiative’ activities;
  • Liaise with other experts in the automotive field and assist in developing new partnerships and/or identifying areas for collaboration with external stakeholders, partners, and specialists in automotive area;
  • Conduct initial screening of automotive supply chains vis-a-vis resource efficiency opportunities and manage consultants attracted to perform REF assistance for automotive clients under supervision of the Task Leader; This will include, not limiting to: identification of client’s needs, development plans and priorities; identification of scope of required support to an OEM-IFC partner; engagement with external consultants on as needed basis and oversight of quality of their work; presentation of results of engagements to management of an OEM partner;
  • Assist Program Manager and Task Leader in fulfilling reporting requirements; deliver internal individual Clients monitoring reports
  • Perform other duties as required.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of automotive management and investment practices including in Europe, Globally and in Russia; and a broader knowledge of automotive supply chain operation’ specifics;
  • Proven knowledge of Russia automotive supply chain peculiarities, including: structure (Tier-I, Tier – II, etc) and specifics of supply chain in Russia, contracting practices, knowledge of main players/companies
  • Knowledge and experience in working with foreign automotive companies (OEMs, or their supply chain) is a strong plus
  • Higher professional education in engineering, automotive industry, resource efficiency or similar areas
  • Russian language fluency is a must; Fluent English is a strong plus
  • Ability to extensively travel in Russia;
  • Ability to think strategically, combined with excellent research and synthesis skills, demonstrated by a track record of conducted works or assignments. Strong analytical, and communications skills - ability to absorb large amounts of information and summarize them in a succinct manner
  • Significant project management skills with proven track record of success in developing client relationships and execution; Demonstrated ability to manage consultants for timely, quality outputs.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of current economic and institutional trends in Russia and other regions
  • Political awareness and ability to handle sensitive situations with target audience
