IT Project Manager - Subsidiary Infrastructure Seattle, Washington

In this role you will work with many Amazon IT infrastructure teams, business teams and partners to coordinate projects which will deliver exciting new capabilities to our internal customers. Keeping an open mind and sense of humor will help you be innovative in our culture. You will be part of a team that is interconnected and supportive of each other and are working towards executing complex and highly visible strategic programs.

You must be able to:

• Interact with Project Sponsors, Technical Program Managers and multiple IT infrastructure teams to define business requirements and project deliverables.
• Work independently handling competing projects, prioritizing and managing multiple tasks.
• Build schedules, establish communication plans, drive progress meetings and measure/report project results.
• Act as "hub," collecting information from the internal project teams and communicating status to program team thus driving effective communication and collaboration.
• Document, communicate and administer key project management steps throughout the different phases of the program including maintaining project communication, project artifacts, schedules and meeting minutes.
• Participate in and proactively identify opportunities to initiate changes/enhancements to project management processes.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years experience managing large, cross-functional projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex technology projects from requirements definition through delivery of solution, including communication of status and results throughout the organization.
• Practical knowledge and skill in the use of project management methodologies and tools such as Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Wiki, Excel and others relevant to project planning and issue management.

• Familiarity with information systems management, information security and cloud computing.
• Experience within complex organizational settings (e.g., PMO, geographic dispersion, etc.)
