We provide advice for technical assistance projects in developing and transition countries, particularly to Public and Governmental Institutions. Our main fields of expertise are Institutional Reform and Capacity Building, in areas such as Justice and Home Affairs, Regional and Local Development and Support to Social Services and Employment. B&S has managed projects in more than 100 countries worldwide.
B&S has a long standing involvement with clients including international donor agencies, particularly with the European Commission, National Governments and their agencies. B&S also has permanent offices in Romania, Kosovo, the Philippines and Senegal with representative offices in more than 20 countries. The company employs more than 30 full time staff and relies on a trustworthy and well experienced network of in-house and external experts to carry out the implementation of projects. B&S has been substantially increasing its turnover over these years with an average of more than 10 M Euros for the last five years.

Job Purpose

In order to contribute to its International Expansion, B&S is seeking a Accounts Payable Accountant to join our Finance Department.

Responsibilities

The JFA is responsible for day-to-day maintenance of all accounts payable, including, booking invoices, credit cards, and employee expenses. This position reports to the Financial Director.
  • Preforming booking and scanning of incoming invoices;
  • Reviewing and processing expenses reports;
  • Encoding bank transactions;
  • Processing and reconciling credit card accounts;
  • Preparing regular/on-demand payments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance;
  • Proved interest in the cooperation and development field, in particular in consultancy assignments;
  • Three years of experience in accounts payable processing;
  • Good computer skills, including an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excell);
  • Good knowledge of French and English. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus;
  • Experience in working with WINBOOKS is a plus;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities & delivering an excellent quality of work;
  • Good communication skills & good team player.
